Ok guys I need your help. Where is the Vin # located on a 1936 Chevy Master coupe? I can see the body tag on the firewall, but don't know where to look for the Vin. I went to New Jersey over the weekend, and one followed me home. I know I need to post pictures, and I will. But I left me camera at work
    Thanks for your help.

Check the p***enger side floor near the seat front or door plates. Will be under the mat or carpet. My 38 Chevy was a plate screwed to the p***enger side cowl under the hood line.

I have two 36 master deluxe 5 windows. One came with a ***le that matches the motor. The second I was able to get ***led using the numbers on the p***enger floor. Love these cars!!!!

I knew I could count on you guys! I found it. And it matches the ***le!
SmokinBill, and 29Sportcoupe nice cars. Depending on what I do with mine I may need some fenders and running boards, or I'll leave it alone. I will try to get a post started tomorrow with pictures. Thanks again, Larry

Oh man, if that had been a Standard you might have got lucky and had steel structured doors and very little other body wood. A percentage of 36 Standard flatback 2door sedans, 4door sedans, and 5window coupes were steel structured as a test bed for the coming 37 all steel cars.

Plenty o wood in both my Masters. Already rebuilt one set of doors, not so bad once you dig in, pretty intimidating when you start.

So... when do we get to see your new toy?
