Anyone know if 39 ford headlights will fit into 40 ford fenders without mods?

Thinking about putting 39 headlights into my 40, like the way they look.

 

39 Deluxe headlight buckets should bolt directly into the 40 fender headlight opening. Bob Drake lists his "new front fender" as 39 Deluxe and 40 Standard and Deluxe fender.

 

They will fit if you buy 39 Deluxe headlights. Standard headlights are smaller.
