Little story as a word of caution. Bought a new /used fuel pump on eBay for a new 496 Chevy. Ran it the recomended 20 minutes with proper lube to break in cam. Started motor halfa dozen times afterward for fun. Checked oil and was a quart overfull. Thoughtmy mistake as not familiar with motor. Drained a quart. Noticed that when motor was shut off fuel was draining from gl*** filter.the light bulb came on and pulled fuel pump to find gas in the cavity. New pump arrived today and got new oil and additive . An expensive mistake that I wanted to p*** along as I still don't know if motor is ok.

Sounds like you never loaded the engine/bearings. IMHO you should be fine. You can go back to sleeping soundly at night. Worse on the cam lobes and if lash has not grown you are OK.
