Recently we lost a hot rod pal to cancer, his name was Jim Carlson from Grand Island, Ne. His collection is going at auction on April 28th. It contains a chopped 32 Ford tu-door sedan "The Apple Cart" built by the great Fred Schritt in Grand Island. Also a bunch of Model A's, roadsters, coupes, pieces and panels. I think his old 50 Ford "The Cricket" may be on the sale as well. Petrolina signs, equipment and collectables. Easy to find location in town in Grand Island. It will be some good stuff, the auction can be previewd at the auctioneers site, vanderbrinkauctions.com, and look for The Jim Carlson collection in Grand Island, Ne. ~sololobo~
I will be there. Jim was a very good friend for well over 35 years. We sure had a lot of fun together. Eventhough Jim kind of dropped out of doing things in the late 80's, I would still stop over and visit him from time to time. We would reminese about the good old days. The cancer finally got him though. His funeral was well attended buy a bunch of his old car buddies. Rest in peace old buddy
