I know it's a long shot.Does anyone have any pictures,magazines or programs they could post grom the San Diego Autorama from the mid 50's.I think they were held at Balboa Park and the first one in 1956.Thanks in advance.
Check back issues of Hot Rod, Car Craft and Motor Trend as one or all of those books covered those shows in the old Electric Building. Bob Hardee took a lot of photos and the negs were destroyed. If memory serves me, George Barris took photos of the '58 show for Motor Trend. Bob McCoy in El Cajon might have stuff too.
Bob McCoy makes his living doing automotive related art, you can google him on the net and find out a lot of info...including his contact info. He is still a local here in East county and always has a booth at the Goodguys Del Mar show in April. Bob very generously supports many local car events through donations of his art.
