just my 2 cents worth, I'm in the same mode you are, putting together a later flatty as well, like others here have stated the EAB heads are very good and don't necessarily require relieving for good flow and have higher comp. ratio than others of the same vintage. Also from what I'm getting from researching is that relieving the block is almost a must on after market performance heads. hope this helps
Seveal good onesaround, 8 BA specific, s you don't have to "adapt" the 59A to the 8BA block. I did exactly that, to keep the "40 look" under the hood. Cooling may be helped,....due to a slightly bigger coolant capacity with the aluminum items.... Any thoughts on this ? 4TTRUK
