bought a cowl no id tag

    Ok i know this has been chewed through many times already i did a small search but most of this has applied california. I just bought a 25 dodge cowl. Id doesnt have a id tag. How will i be able to register this as a car in texas? Are there any tricks that others have done? Any place i can go to get any info on this? Any hep would be great.

    Since there was no V.I.N. on the Dodge Brothers cowls in 1925, it will probably have to be listed as a "constructed" car. I think that if you go into the DMV with photos of other 1925 DBs and show them that it at least looks like a 1925 DB, they may just go for it. I am certain others here will have better advice.

    I have a 1924 Dodge and the vin number is stamped in the firewall, check yours and see if it is stamped

    1925 was different. As stated in the middle paragraph in my DB book......click a few times on the image to enlarge.

    hello there i have a problem! i just bout a 1945 chevy 1/2 ton and the dodo that sold it to me or the dodo that gave it to him stamped a newer model 1950 chevy truck vin on the frame and motor..... im stuck ..... does anybody know what ican do to go around this????? thank you

    Sell it back to him. This kind of thing is fraudulent. OTOH, maybe it's the kind of thing you check out BEFORE you have over money?
