Spring Painting

    What paint should I use to paint the springs in my ford custom 300? Coils in the front and leafs in the rear.

    I like POR-15 for that sort of thing, because you can wirebrush 'em and brush it on,,,but if you prep them well, any good enamel should do the trick

    Im just worried about flex and the paint flaking on the first ride

    If you want durability then go with Imron. That stuff will resist just about anything!

    If I was painting with the springs in car I would just wire brush all the loose stuff off and paint with satin chasis paint,if I was takeing the springs off I would clean and spray with black metal etching primer and a light coat of chasis black.They do slide when then work so no heavy buidup is needed .You just want them to be clean and presentable.
