What holds on a 40's Ford inner door handle?

    On mine it looks like I need to drive out a pin to get them off but I don't want to wreck anything.

    Yes, a pin. Use a drift to drive it out.

    I use a piece of old brake line about 8 " long. Bend it into a "U" shape with about 1" between the legs of the "U". Then I slide that between the handle and the spring loaded beauty ring. Now you can push the solid pin out with a drift punch like "Okie" said. If you try to pry the silver ring back with a screw driver, you're just about quaranteed to screw it up.

    LOL, bobwop ! The ones on my truck fell out, when I pushed the beauty ring back........

    Thanks guys! I don't have to worry about my "beauty rings" 'cause them and my handles are pretty ****py.Anyone have some good ones for sale?
