Sounds like a quote from one of the many "car show comment" threads ;)

Thank each and every one of you for the positive comments.

Ken,your wagon project helped nudge me into dragging the old car out of the barn.

Not yet,she has beem swamped with work at the shop and the last couple of days I have been working out the bugs,,hopefully she will finally get to drive it Saturday afternoon to the first cruise night at Micky D's.

    And,yes it IS her car!

Thank you Henry and we have already applied to the SCDMV to run the YOM tag that was on the car.

Thank you,,I plan on starting on the coupe soon but I'm gonna take some time and enjoy the wagon for a while.

There were times when I did honestly didn't want to look at the wagon but I knew I couldn't quit.

Thank you for being a cheerleader,I am honored you think it's one of the best examples of the Ranch Wagon you have seen.

And HECK NO,,I don't wont to build another one!

Thank you Don,, keep hammering away on your car,,I can be a cheerleader too!:D HRP

As the owner of a rather rough '54 Ranch Wagon may I say Congratulations. Can I also say how envious I am, not that you have such a nice car but rather that you have the wherewithal to pursue this project and see it through. Of course I am envious that you have such a nice car.............after a lot of hard work. Well done. I am going to keep envisioning this wagon and see if it can motivate me to get mine at least cleaned up.

I hardly know what to say Danny. There were times during this build that I almost felt your pain about coming to a hard task and would have understood if you had just walked away. It was a "been there done that" kinda deal. But later I was pleasantly surprised to see that you had chosen to soldier on and finish what you had started. Although I don't remember you reporting what your wife was thinking during this process but I can't help but believe she was pulling for you to finish it. After all it held many memories for her.
Now, I hope you will post at least one picture of her behind the wheel with a smile on her face. Congratulations.....................you did good!!!

    HRP,

You and your build are inspirational. The wagon turned out beautifully - it is truly breathtaking. I know Mrs. HRP will really enjoy driving it and it is so cool that the car has so much family history.

    Bravo! Well Done!

Frank,I really believe you have been in the same situations before and understand the frustration with some of the problems,,but today it's all past history.

Brenda has been a constant moral support,,encouraging me and never pushing the issue of when will I be able to drive my car?

Since I posted the photos we have had bad weather and add to that her Flower shop is extremely busy yesterday and today but if the whether breaks Sunday I promise that I will post photo's of ladyhrp driving the "Ranch Wagon". HRP

that wagon rocks! the history really adds to the flair of the project because it sounds like it would have been sent down the road long ago it not for it's roots with your wife.

    HRP,

Me and you have talked a couple of times thru PM. I want to say congratulations on a very beautiful Ranch wagon. I hope Mrs HRP enjoys it and maybe I will get a chance to meet you and see it at a TN show (NSRA Nats-Knoxville, F100 Nationals, or Shades of the Past)

Great job, looks stellar. My mother had a 54 4dr. long roof, yellow w/red pillars, 239 w/Fordomatic, buddies dad had a 4dr sedan, really nice dual pipes on that one.

Wow! ...How nice is that!! You nailed it man! Have always thought that year of Ranch Wagon is one of the nicer looking wagons of the era, and a sweet shade of green as well! Happy rolling!

  21. I can see Brenda smiling from here. Congratulations.
Any chance we can talk you into driving it down to Commerce on the 7th?

The colors go well together, and the interior looks great.

Congrats HRP! Nothing better than a finished car you built yourself. I have great respect for what you and Dave accomplished. Nice work. Hope to run into you guys this season.

I saw this wagon in person last night. The level of detail and attention to color, style, and materials is nothing short of outstanding. To say "Job well done" is not adequate; this car is a stunner and I could not be more happy for BOTH Mr. and Mrs. HRP.
