hi there guys, it seems that Mr Gasket does a cheap Atl bracket for bb chevy, But i cant seem to find any brackets for power steering with the old style 64' power steering pump. can any steer me in the right direction? or know of anything that might work or is even close? Thanks! Jason
i have always found that Alan Grove Components has the best stuff at a good price..and they make mounting brackets for everything, if they don't have it, it's not being made check them out: http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/
I think its a long water pump, theres a big space between the timing cover and the back cover of the pump, (motor is out of a 1 ton 1988 chevy truck.) Can i run this pump or do i need to get a short one? thanks, Jason
I think the long pump will fit, I have a short pump mocked up on my 61 and there's about half a foot between the wphub and radiator... Probably any of the 1970s bracket setups would work, from a full size car 70-75 or a pickup 73-up to mid 80s. If you have the brackets from 88 truck, they might work too. The pumps were pretty much all the same from the early 60s until the metric ones came out in the late 70s, and 1 tons with hydraboost had a big reservoir on the pump. But even this pump should still work with your ps system, if the engine you're buying comes with the pump.
