The location of the Z bar was further back, and the headers were in the way at the top where the clutch rod comes down from the pedal, as usual nothing fits, so... you might as well start from scratch!! There are brass fittings going in the Z bar just to make it work better under severe shifting
Jerico is in, dash, gauges, steering column, mid plate, trunk latch, flip front end cables, getting ready to blow apart for some semi gloss black Flap
Hey Shakey, you were an inspiration when I first started the 55, I hope it comes out half as killer as yours!! Here it is at final assembly. It is all blown apart now
Great build, and I am right behind you on that build. Glassing the front clip together as I write this! Thanks for the photos!
I had a blast last year at Milan with the 57, I went home after Milan pulled the motor out of the 57 and started the 55 in November. Milan gave me the kick in the ass to get the 55 done. I will be there this year!!
Here are a couple of pics of the mid plate and driveshaft loop before final weld and painting the frame.
Great to hear, your 57 was one of my favorites last year so the 55 should be great also. Look forward to seeing it in person. Jon
...everyone's got their opinion, but for me a 55 gasser ain't done til you cut the rear fenders....nice build.
There is a guy in our car club named Jim Madigan, he takes pics of drag events and car shows where ever we go. He started a page of the build from the start, his pics are very hi quality compared to my Crackberry.
