My Rochester carb on my 51 chevy car is leaking. I recently pushed the car out on the driveway, I let the air out of the bags in the rear. The driveway is at a incline, about 30 minutes later while completing the wire job, I noticed a strong odor of gas, and sure enough it was leaking at the carb. I never used the carb, and bought it from carburetor exchange.

Well, have you contacted them? And the second question is how long ago did you buy it. Month, six months ,five years?

I'd start by making sure that the screws were tight before doing much else though.
