Found these cars in a guys back yard, says he is cleaning up the place and all are for sale.... i can probably afford only one or two.. if you guys are interested let me know. Merc is a four door, no engine.. Ford is kool, also no engine. Chevy ran when parked...lol.. my favorite of the four Buick still has the nailhead in it.. all have a little cancer, nothing crazy.. he also had a 59 el camino but will not part with it.... damn!!
No prices yet.. he is calling me tomorrow.. he did sell the 56 Buick.. got $4500 for it .. little to much I think.. the flat bed Ford, 54 I think, is $500.. pretty straight... also has a 60 Ranchero..
As you can see by my name I am a paramedic.. and when times are slow I just drive around looking for stuff.. I find cars and write it down in my little black book.. if I am really interested I knock on a door.. this guy had a 67 Camaro in his front yard which made me stop. Anybody looking for something in particular let me know...
So the 46 Ford is best offer, as is the 54 Ford flatbed. His family is questioning if they want to sell the Merc now. Still waiting on the 50 Buick, I am hoping the outrageous price for the 56 Buick doesn't weigh on the price of the others... What do you guys think a good price for the 50 Buick is????? body is straight, no real bad cancer, has the engine in it.
Finally got a response from the family, they said to make an offer on each. What would you guys consider a good price for the Merc and the Buick....
And too far away to think about going after. No idea of what they will think is a reasonable offer. And without knowing how much rust is in either it's hard to say. If it were pretty solid and had a decent bath I think the Merc would bring at least 2500 around here if it was either run on Craigslist or sitting where guys could see it from the highway. It's up from there. To me the fastback Buick would be the more desirable of the two but it may not bring the most money as a Merc is a Merc and some guys will dig deep even for a four door. Figure what you can come up with in cash green money and go over and tell them you can make a cash offer then and there for that amount. That is without going nuts on the price though.
I bought the Ford..thanks 38ford for clarifying.. I built up a good rapport with the family, but I think my offer of $1000 is going to be insulting.. we will see.. he is cleaning up the property so I still have alot of digging..err picking to do still.. he has alot.of Harley parts as well as car parts..
Got the 47 Ford home the other day, dropped it off at my frineds house and haven't been able to touch it yet. The Merc and Buick are still there, guess no real good offers on them yet, but I know they are getting to the point of needing to move these cars. They actually put up the 59 El Camino for sale just to see if they would get a big offer to help out on finances. I know somdebody offered 4k for it but they turned that down. His grandfather was the original owner of the car so they are not really sure they want to sell it, but money talks.....
you must believe - you must be a true believer before you can see the Chevy - to the non-believers it looks like a Buick (seriously though, nice find)
Had a neighbor walk over yesterday and told me her friend has a cabriolet and a 31 Model A coupe for sale... but it seem he is gonna want some big money, the owner said he bought them a few years ago and they were complete and nice. The neighbor said she saw them and calls them projects, she was going to buy one for her husband but when they saw them they were not what they wanted,,,, they were looking for a turn key car. She is gonna bring over pics of them sometime this week..
