I made a run from Blairsville to Cartersville the other day....saw lots of stuff just sitting in peoples yards along the way. There's still stuff out there.
That black 56 doesn't have blue 62 Falcon Futura bucket seats in it does it? It looks like my old car.
Even in L.A., there are cars hidden out there. There use to be two twin brothers that drove down alleys in South Central, one drove and one stood in the bed looking over fences. They found a lot of cars that way. A Deputy I know saw a '54 Chevy Belair sitting on the side of a house in the same area. He asked the residents if the car was for sale and if it ran. They said he ran when they parked it and wanted $150 for it. He paid the $150, put a battery in it and drove it home.
Not sure 56 don !!! But Ill look next time Iam over there ... I lived in Decatur Al 4 years on hwy 31 and saw a yellow 56 like the one in youre picture all around athens with a chopped top ... Was that youres ??? If youre ever in Decatur go out the old moulton road and look at all those old 55 56 57 Fords sitting on the right ... About five 56 crown vicks ... probably ten 57s a few old mercurys ... He told me he had over 200 old fords sitting here and there ...
I remember that chopped 56 in Athens, but I haven't seen it in years, its not mine. The guy on old Moulton road died and his family sold all of the old cars, about 300, to the salvage yard in Trinity who is now selling them off.Most were not in good shape.
harry o that guy in moulton i think died last yr. i was suppose to go to a auction there but was sick that weekend. i live in falkville not far from were you are talkin about. atleast i think we are talkin about the same place.
I kinda figured he may have died , Hes was getting pretty old in 1999 when I retired from GMs Delphi plant on hwy 31 ... Yes outlaw its the same place ... I use to go to that flee market in falkville on sundays is it still there ? I got a buddy on trinity mountain ... Woody Woodard he is a trip ... He paints lots of cars ... Hes put enough bondo on cars to fill up the tennessee river ... Ha Ha !!! Ive been to that salvage yard Don lots of times ... That guy is Hi as hell on his old junk ...
