I've had or am running team III front wheels on my truck. First was the G***er wheel that I borrowed from a friend. I'm running the Dragmaster wheels now. I like both, nice quality wheels. No balancing issues or odd run out problems. The only gripe I have is the Lug nuts that come with the Dragmasters are really mag lock nuts. So if you loose the socket or have a flat on the road and you don't have the socket your SOL.

I to would like to know. Looks like you want the same sizes and model of wheels.
Sure would like to see some pictures of the 15x4 vintage 5 spoke on a few cars. I have yet to see them at a show.

  5. I sold quite a few sets to customers. The castings and quality are superb!

  6. A good buddy of mine is building a '32 Ford Highboy Pickup, and he just got his ET Cl***ic 5 wheels (15x5 front, 15x9 rear). He got them with the as-cast center spokes. The wheels are beautiful. I'll post up pictures when he finally gets off his duff and gets them mounted up and installed.

I'm a fan of ET wheels myself. I have 16x12 Fuelers on the back of my '55 truck. I'm saving up for the fronts, which will be 15x5 Dragmasters.

I have met the guy and been to his shop in san leandro and he is really cool. I had him modify some wheels for my truck and build a set of custom wheels for a Cobra replica I put together for a customer and the wheel quality was great.

funnycar65..those don't look bad..did you doctor that finish up or did they come like that? what do you have on the rear? I called and talked to Scott at ET wheels last night and he spent quite a bit of time talking to me which I appreciated. Doesn't sound like quality is an issue hearing the posts. I tried to see if there were any dealers for them around this area and there isn't and it is too far for them to come to Goodguys in the east or shows like that. I don't recall seeing these on cars either. He told me he used an old american magnesium to copy the vintage 5 15x4 and it looks the part.

The fronts are out of the box the rears are 15x7 Americans. I have a pair of the 15x4 magnesium Americans the TeamIII's are spot on to them.

Bad Penny..nice couple of coupes! your 15X7's...did you have ET make them with the same spokes as the fronts? it appears that way and he said he could.

Yup I did. However, in doing that, naturally they are a 2 piece wheel where as the fronts are one piece. So the outer rim area is a little different from the fronts. It's not that noticeable so check out the 1st pic. I had him do a 4" back space as well. Good luck.

I run them on my OT daily driver. Very good quality.
My only complaint is they adjust back spacing by shaving material off the back of the hub mounting area. I prefer when a 2 piece wheel is welded in a different location giving a deeper dish look.

Are these the cl***ic v's? Where did you get the 8.20 firestones? Thanks

  22. For anyone considering the G***er spokes, be aware that the opening in the spindle / hub area is conical and will not fit on some hubs and require machining or the purchase of conical hubs. As others said, quality is great.

Probably the best 15"X4" 5 spoke reproduction wheels for a G***er! They're exact clone of the American magnesium wheel - I have two sets mags and can't tell the difference from the aluminum. I asked Scott to drill a uni lug pattern so they'll fit both GM & FOMOCO/Mopar bolt pattern. I also had him do a brush finish on the outer lip area and I painted the spokes to match my rear mags. I cheated and installed American Racing center caps...:( I've mounted 5.60 X15" (Volkswagen) tires and they look like the old days... just my $.02.

15X5's with firestone 5.60-15, and 15x8's with Hurst Cheater Slicks The rears have polished flat caps. I love the look.

  25. I have 15x5 and 15x12 with 3" back space, love the look of the wheels and Scott was great to work with. These are going on the '42 G***er, blown 540 with a Lenco.

Sorry for the slow response. No they are the Vintage V's. I think the cl***ics have the peaked spoke or sharp look where as the vintage ones have a round profile. As for the 8.20's I got them at Universal tire. They were a little cheaper than Coker and closer to me so the shipping was less also.
