    Hello,

I'm seeking advice regarding a metal flake paint job I'm doing on a buddies 68 Triumph. I started with a base of metallic orange, then laid on many coats of .015 orange flake(with clear), followed by several coats of straight clear. The problem I'm having is; unless the light hits it just so, the flake looks very dark, almost like black pepper. I'm afraid I may have used too light of a base. I tried to match the base to the flake as best i could, but the flake is a tad darker than the base.

I've seen alot of discussions here on this subject, and it seems that some of you have experience with paint, and metal flake, so I thought I'd put it up and see if anyone had any ideas.

    Thanks in advance, Pete
