Hey there fellas, I'm fairly new to the HAMB game and just wanted to see how many here represent the Land of Enchantment. I'm south of Albuquerque in Los Lunas, but it's only a few miles away. I know a lot of car guys, but most are 4x4 or muscle car stuff, which is alright too, but not what I'm lookin' for at the moment. I just picked up a '28/'29 Model A Tudor and was wonderin' who else was around here to hang out and shoot the **** with about these older rides. I'm part of a couple of other boards too, but it seems like New Mexico is not represented very well. I was hoping for a better response here. So let's hear it fellas, stand and be counted.

I live in Farmington three months out of the year, and visit there frequently. Does that count?

Three months out of the year is better than nuthin' I guess. And Guise? I just hope you have a really bad accent, that's what makes it work best vato.

C'mon fellas, there's gotta be a few of you out here. I know a couple of the ABQ Rumblers hang here on occasion, show some love.

Howdy from here in albq. welcome aboard. their are a few and i do mean FEW of us around the Burque. (i am one of the younger ones...29) the majority of us...the ones who really do work and drive our cars, arent in any "clubs" so you might have to look a little futher past the posers with PBR cans in hand thinking they are builders like barris. Just remember, partying, tattoos, not having a job, and driving a "flat black" car does not make you a rodder or a bad ***...it makes you a rumbler of albuquerque.
What i am trying to say is you cal still party and like the music and gettogethers but stay true to the roots of hot rods and customs and dont fall into the burque "bad ***" scene and you will most likley get more help with your project then you think and still have a great time.

What do you have against the Rumblers? They not let you in? They have always been a pretty good bunch of guys who share what they have learned doing their projects and welcome anyone who is not acting like an ***hole to join them in a few beers to talk cars.

53 and AP, don't start any ****. We don't need any booger flicking. As for opinions, sometimes it is better to keep them under your hat. Drop it, please.

I wont flick anymore boogers cause there full of PPG paint that got thru my mask today. Sorry billyboy53, I hear you are a pretty stand up guy who builds some cool ****. Derek I am not in New Mexico anymore, but still close enough to get to Albuq. pretty quick, so if there is anything cool going on, give me a pm.

Right on fellas, and I would have to agree with the whole no booger flickin' thing here. That **** is hard to get out of upholstery after it hardens up and is juta plain nasty. But seriously, I don't want to start a who's cool and who's not thread. Just lookin' for some like minded NM hot rodders. Nothin' wrong with a beer here and there though. AP, I'll keep you posted on what I see goin' on. Last year there was a pretty good swap meet in Valencia county, I'm hopin' for a repeat.

Billyboy, It's good to hear that there are some others too. I'm not really much of a "club" dude, but I do like to know everybody that I can. Especially tryin' to find parts and advice.

Jay, a big shout out to bayard, I should know where that is, but I don't. I used to work for NAPA and when I was in the wharehouse I shipped stuff there, LOL.

Right on, this one got better response than any other board. Keep it comin'.

sorry guys, i did not mean to dissrespect anybody. i was trying to give a heads up to a newbie to rodding.. i have nothing aginest the rumblers and i am good friends with one of them here in town. sometime newbies fall into a trend where they like cars and get pulled into other things that distract them from them. so no disrespect and i appreciate the no ****** flicking rule. that is what makes this board alot of fun and enjoyable.

Right on fellas, Neal, I will give a call, always nice to check out a new shop. Billyboy, I appreciate the thoughtfullness, really. But I'm not really a newbie to rods, just to the HAMB. I'm old enough not to get distracted by all the PBR too, LOL. Now a pretty lady in a skirt might be a different story, but who knows. The biggest thing is that most of the car guys I know here are into muscle cars or 4x4's, nothin' wrong with that but it's always nice to meet others into the same thing as you. Again, thanks for the response everyone, very cool.
