The question does not apply. No one on the HAMB buys finished cars.

all cars need to be rewired, all engines need to be pulled apart and checked, all cars need to be test driven, fuel gauges never work right, new means different things to different people, its been clipped doesn't mean it fits, and on and on, build your own to suit you and don't sell to a novice builder

Saw a 64 Ford pickup one time with motor mounts made out of 1/8 flat bar welded to the top of the frame, no gussets, no supports, nothing. Motor was just hanging there, waiting on the frame to break or the flat bar to give way. Saw a transmission crossmember made out of 1" conduit. A roll bar in a dirt track stocker made out of muffler tubing. Saw 2x4 blocks in a 56 Buick coil spring for a lift spacer. Saw a draglink made from rebar.

Lots of goofy stuff will make me think, If they did this, what else did they take a shortcut on? Shortcuts make me run....

Anything that has the word " Custom" in it...it generally translates to "replace"...

The absolute deal breakers for me are frame swaps, anything subframed, unfinished chops, bagged suspensions not done by a pro shop, missing curved gl*** not easily available, "needs minor frame patching", any sign of butchery in attempt to shoehorn a brand X motor in a brand Y car when there are viable brand Y alternatives, wires hanging in a modern "power everything" vehicle, anything too far away (I'll not pay more to have a car shipped than I paid for the car).

Then there's the stuff I ***ume is BS with out proof..."The body work is almost all done", "rebuilt _____", "_____ is missing but should be easy to find".
