  2. Yep pure torture! Let the beatings continue. Love your work. Art, not simply photography.

Thanks Virgil - there will be more. And when this one ends, Lone Star Roundup will be coming up.

Thanks Rocky - those kind of Studies are attractive from just about any angle - but of course you know that first hand :).. I hope I run into this one again when it is completed.

Lonely Knights are getting ready for VLV and then Lonestar Roundup. You going, Dan?

Hey Jeff - I will be at LSR, but not VLV. I can't get out of that much of tax season. We are leaving for Austin on the 10th. It will be great seeing all of you down there.

Its a religious experience to see a new picture of a Merc in the morning.

Thanks Mick. Here is one that is a special request from Joe Germann - the owner of the beautiful Raven shown below. NOTE: This photo is from GNRS 2011 not this year. I did not have my own HAMB thread for the 2011 show due to the great thread shortage of early 2011. :) If you are interested in seeing the rest of the 2011 shots in a convenient way - please go to http://www.pbase.com/dlgphoto/gnrs2011&page=all

The B-400 a testament to Edsel Ford, and Eugene T. "Bob" Gregorie's styling sensibilities, and good taste. Perfection.

What length lens do you use most? Do you shoot a full frame or "crop" body?

Are you gonna write a book on how to use photoshop????

    color me envious ;)

Thanks Rocky as always for dropping by. I have a friend here that has an awesome B400 although I have yet to get the killer picture of it.

Wild Turkey - thanks also for your comments. Right now I am shooting a D700 ( full frame) and mostly use my 16-35 f4 and also use my 24-70 quite a bit. I have also had just as good luck with my D300 (1.5 crop) and 12-24 Tokina and 16-85 Nikkor. For anything long I use a 70-300 on both cameras. The full frame helps when it comes to shooting indoors because I can crank the ISO up to 800 or so and still get really decent pretty noise free results.. I have toyed with the idea of writing a how to car photo kind of book but I just don't have the time at this point and I am not sure if there is enough of a market for something like that. I have given a presentation on it a few times to photo clubs around here. I do have a self published book of these type of photos coming out in about 2 weeks, but it is a portfolio of images type of book. One other thing you might find helpful is to view these on my actual website - http://www.pbase.com/dlgphoto/gnrs2012&page=all. There under every picture is the exact lens, what mm it was zoomed to and exposure info relative to the shot
