Welcoming all Hambers to my annual event- Coming up on Sunday April 1 is the 10th annual Nostalgic Show & GO! at Speedworld Dragstrip. I started this '81 and older venue in 2003 patterned after the Goodguys west coast drag and show events, known then as the Vintage Racing ***ociation. Over the decade, we have had all kinds of entries from front engine Top Fuelers to funny cars, blown altereds, A/FXers, stockers, g***ers, customs and much more. Again, we will be headlining A/FX style match racers and welcoming everything 1981 and older. There will be nothing newer than 1981 that day. We'll have our annual swap meet, car show with awards, exhibiton sessions and round to round racing. I'll be posting pics from last year and years past between now and April 1. The web page will be up soon as well with further info. If you are from out of town, you can arrive Sat night and watch the Sat night racing and spend the night there for the price of daytime admission. Camp, RV or sleep in your car if you want to. This '65 Merc Comet A/FXer sported an injected 427 and won cl***. This April 1, we have over a dozen 60's A/FX'ers headling our program in addition to our show, swap and other race cl***es. If you like A/FX'ers, AWB Funny cars, Blown altereds and G***ers, Speeworld Dragstrip will be the place to be for our 10th annual Nostalgic Show & GO!

Will they let us run our cars down the track if there is no roof or roll bar? Any rules we need to know of? Helmet, race shirt, condoms... 30 second quarter miles pretty good right???

Just looked over a black 66 Mustang fast back with a 470"SOHC'er! just *****in! and just part of the the Nostalgic Show & GO! tomorrow...here at Speedworld Dragstrip! 29, Ya need a helmet, eye protection, Aleast a lap belt & a overflow catchcan ( atleast a pint) for the radiator for the bsics anyways.I'll be doing some of the tech inspections and running the lanes if ya have anymore questions. Rich
I checked for you and they said yes. Also depends on how quick your car is. You could also run 1/8 mile that way. An altered wheelbase '65 Coronet funny car just showed up with 426 power. The pouncin' Poncho AWB Hilborn injected Pontiac is here too. Gates open at 8am here at Speedworld Dragstrip.
