If you're as nice as you were last year, I'm pretty sure we'll supply your beer again.....

54Rat, Shifty2 and me will be in our regular spot up near the main building, across from that weird lampshade sculpture. 8 years, same place and still ready to meet fellow HAMBers!
Look for us. 54 will have a stack of rubber for sale, I'll have gas station memoribilia and a load of Corvair stuff, Shifty will have pieces and treasures as well.
Oh, and I will be peddling my salsa.

  3. There are three more of us that will be down at the race track this year. Not sure of the number, it is at the shop.

Got my space and all my papers finally! I'm at the turnaround at PIR in space 2476. Not much to sell, so I'll have plenty of room for what I buy! :)

So when and where are we all meeting up? I am up for whatever, but as of yet have met very few HAMBers in real life.

Looking forward to it! Gotta start packing up the trailer and getting stuff in order to go.

Friends, so you won't get stuck in a stall with all of those acres of stuff to scrounge through.

Maybe a bad idea but, I have only a handful of parts I would like to sell, anyone have a little space in your site? I could give you a percentage and give you a chance to look around yourself.

Wear hell for good walking shoes that you can walk in or stand in for hours on end. Then some sort of hat or cap in case of rain or too much sun and a jacket that will shed rain but isn't real heavy. I've been soaked to the skin and I've been sunburned there all in the same weekend before.

And take plenty of small bills to pay for the lower priced items. The guys selling often get hit with a bunch of big bills right off the bat and run out of change.

And don't take anyone who tends to whine about it being too hot, too cold or too far to walk be it male or female. That will ruin a guy's or gal's day quickly when you are on the hunt for parts and have to deal with a whiner tagging along that wants to leave.

X2. If you plan to spend some time looking around the swap meet yourself, be sure to bring a buddy to stay at your stall and keep an eye on your treasures.

I have found that instead of a chair, a bar stool works for me. Beats getting up and down, just slide off the stool. Good Luck.

Stop by 2036&7 for A motor and other hard parts, HAMB sign out frount
Set up the space this Morning and it is going to be a muddy mess by Sat. so wear some good waterproof boots , take a garbage(black) bag with you so you can put a hole in it for a quick rain cover and it will fit in your pocket when not needed. Watch the sky and make sure your by a covered space when a rain shower comes through and remember Sat is the day everyone drops their prices to get rid of the parts they don't want to pack home.
Thurs.= high prices, Fri.= resonable prices, sat= Bargan prices.

We unloaded yesterday and then since we had to move the truck and trailer, we walked PIR. My buddy found some stuff to use on his harley but I didn't find anything I couldn't live without yet. I did not see any HAMB posters hanging though, so I probably missed some of you. Waiting to get picked up right now to set up shop for hte day. Oh and our neighbors aren't using their stall so they gave it to us, so we can spread out even more! See you all today or this weekend.

Had a great first day and sold quite a bit. Have only about broke even with all the money for parking, fees, gas, etc. but well worth it to clear out the shop and make sure some stuff has made it so other projects will get a little further along. Surprisingly though I have not seen too much I cannot live without. Tomorrow I will take a longer stroll to see what I "need".

Today I put four boxes of magazines and my buddy brought back his saginaw 3 speed and that was it for leftovers. We both got what we needed, though my buddy still made money and I was only out $60. Not a bad first time for newbies.

The only thing I bought was a hubcap to match the single on my canned hamb.

It was $10 and originally fit a '62 Nova. Felt lucky to find one.
