we'll see if the brake issue gets resolved in the next few hours, but the paint and ***embly is mostly finished. we should be on the road thursday morning, but you may not want to be in front of the car, coming to a stop. i do have insurance, though...
it's from a late model toyota, i don't know the name/code, and it has 'Flex and Flat' clear over the basecoat.
update! brakes are fixed! a (hopefully) quick trip this morning for a wheel balance, and we'll be on the road to columbus. yay, we're going to Ohio, yay!
there's nothing like a long road to blow the cobwebs (and leaves, dirt and deteriorating under-dash insulation) out of and old car. no problems with the brakes, but we should have checked the trans fluid sooner than saturday afternoon, it was only 2 quarts low. friday, mark and i went to the fair grounds. i got into the car pretty easily, and we took the "Gold Chain Wheelchair" cause it's ***anium, easier to take apart and put in the car. unfortunately, that also meant mark had to push me around for two days. good thing he loves me so much. it's been almost a year-and-a-half since i've ridden in anything but a bus or van, and while i didn't get to drive, when we pulled out and got on the highway, i almost cried (just like a little girl). it was GREAT to feel hang my arm out the window, look out the windshield over that big blue hood, feel the wind and smell that musty old car. without help from lots of people, i wouldn't be here, enjoying the show AND riding in my car, so here's to everyone who helped, thanks! super friend mark bell fountain rob speedshop danny really likeable raymond daddy bill bull stabmaster sparky joey skippy jim big david angelo tim of course it wouldn't have gotten done if i hadn't been there to boss everyone around!
