That car is my "someday" car too. I would build it exactly like Two Lane Blacktop........rough, loud, and rude. :) Good find.

Way to go ! You always have that special car or truck you really , really want but many never get it own one . It's really GREAT when you do finally come across that special car or truck you want and finally have it sitting in your driveway waiting for you to bring it back to life in that special way you want it to be .
    Have Fun !

Very cool! That brings back fond memories. Makes me wonder if a 55 I knew about years ago is still in an old garage west of town ...

If you've ever read any little books from back in the day and most mags from present times then you know that the answer is a definite YES! Even small blocks that didn't come new in 'vettes were first installed in 'vettes for the break in period then pulled back to be installed in trucks and sedans starting in '56. It's common knowledge, duh! ;)

Hope you are heading for the same satisfying dream I've enjoyed. I have a 55 two door sedan too, even though it's an Oldsmobile. But the best build you can hope for is the one you fall in love with.

Do what you've always dreamed of doing and make it totally your own. Nothing wrong with using ideas from something you've seen, but make it yours in every special way you can.

Hope I don't sound too weird in all of this, but it's coming from someone who is enjoying a dream 55 too.............

Welcome aboard and keep us posted..........

"The Fat Panda"...??? You're joking, right...??? Or is that your nickname...???

WTH does that have to do with 1.), a '55 Chevy, and 2.) making a "pseudo" race car out of it...??? Black and white paint on a '55 Chevy certianly wouldn't remind me of a fat panda...

Congrats anyway, on the getting the car of your dreams...

    R-
