Got a lead on a fairly complete 39 dodge coupe body and frame. Seller wants $300. Is is worth it?

Got any pics of cool ones.

    Thanks

If as much of it is there as you want to use it's worth it, but there aren't any/many reproduction parts for it, so if it's missing things like inside window garnish moldings, fenders, grill, radiator sore support, etc, you'll probably be buying another car like it some day just to get the missing parts.

I once bought a second, (wrecked, had hit a tree, but driveable!) '55 Olds just to get one piece of side trim fr theone I had.

In other words, Do you really love this car?

If it WAS that second parts car and hadwhat you're already missing you'd jump at only $300 to get what you need to finisha project... I started a Model A on a $10 Cowl with only five bullet holes though... :D

It's not my first choice but I thought since the price was right i would buy it for a later project or keep it for trading stock. Anyone building any of these. Any pics out there. How about one with no fenders and no hood.

    Thanks

Heres my 39 Dodge pickup after the saw treatment. Chopped 3, channeled 9 and a 6 inch poor mans section.

IMO a 39 Dodge is a very cool car, but the trim-if you want it- will be a challenge to find.

39 Dodge; last year for leaf spring front, non IRS. Some later models may have the later frame with IRS. Check Ply-Do, Roberts Motor Parts in MA, Andy Bernbaum and Kanters for parts. Same old 218 flat six up through early 50's. Plenty of room for V8 swaps. Ditto as others for trim pieces; the 40 seems to be the first year for repro stuff but I've seen some 39 stuff offered.

Is it worth it? hell yes for a low buck ride. I picked up a rebuilt 318, 904 ****** and steering collumn with key for $250. Can't find those deals with chevy or ford stuff.

This one is pretty cool looking if you can get by the pink paint and painted spotlights.

If you get it a guy here has a parts car in pretty good shape, don't know where in Iowa you are, I'm in south central nebraska. Pretty sure its a 39 will get pics if you need em. Could probably get it for a couple hundred.
