So here are some pictures of my dad's car circa 1959.

    1954 corvette
He replace the 260 with a 292 jimmy truck motor
Pulled the powerglide and installed a 39 Cad Lasalle stick transmission.
Sold for approx $1,500 in 1960 to buy his next car.

    1931 Ford Model A tudor
    Purchased stock in approx 1960
Installed a 1957 283, Cad Lasalle transmission and 1940 ford truck rearend and juice brakes.
We still have it. Same condition as this picture.

Eldorado Ave and Highway 5 area

I wish he still had the Vette, or even the 56' Nomad that he sold in the early 70's.

That is Rad! My Grandpa was hotrodding in Stockton in those days as well. I think in 59 he had his 50 shoebox convertible with a full race flatty. said trannies were a problem.
apparently ran 104 miles an hour at kingdon. there is a good chance your dad and my grandpa knew eachother or maybe even raced then. kinda cool to think about.
