Thanks for all your concern everyone, I tried calling people but the lines were over run here. Tried to send as many emails as I could from a computer at school but things were crazy there today, as I'm sure they were everywhere. I had so much trouble getting home tonight all the streets around my dorm are closed, it turned a ten minute walk into a 30 min nightmare. I don't think I'm goin in to cl*** tomorrow. Here I was worried about pickpockets and weirdo's never thought this would happen right next door. Missed taking the bus by a couple minutes (I didnt want to wait) and was down the street by the time it happened. For once I am happy that I am so impatient.

My condolences for anyone that has lost a loved one . . these are horrible times and we should all try to direct our energy toward stopping the killing of civilians in the UK, America, and Iraq. . . . at this point that means standing up to our governments who do the opposite.

I saw the news this morning and have seen updates all day long, I actually opened this post several times and shut it down because it pisses me off so bad to think that there are ***holes that do this for what........... Prayers are with all that have to face this, and I agree as an earlier post said they are cowards and I for one would like about ten friggen minutes with any of the ***holes that do this ****. I am sure I would be able to explain my point of view.

  12. I think I remember him saying he works on the Picadilly.....one of the lines that was hit, but way over at Arnos Grove, miles from the center of London.

I spoke to a couple of friends who also work on the underground today, both were working way past the end's of their normal shifts to ***ist. So don't worry too much if you don't hear much as yet. It's been a hectic day for them.

I hate terrorrists, those punks will get what's coming to them, by the U.S and it's allies. I have been activated in support of the war, and I can't stand to see these cowards fight the way they do. They should muster up some balls and take us on! One battle, settle it all, once and for all. I hate al-quiada pukes.. Londoners be strong, my prayers go out to you.

    This ****s,
I was in the UK where the IRA were giving it pretty much their last shot in the earley 90's so I know a bit of what it was like.
I hate these cowardly faceless f*ckers, they will be real dissapointed when they don't find what they are expecting after death !
My thaughts are with you Londoners and 4ever4 especially, I spent a lot of time on the Picadilly line and know Kings cross station well, I think the steel of the Brits was shown well on T.V. people seemed pretty calm and the emergencey services were doing real well, you are fortunate to have such well trained people.
Now would be a real good time to send that cleric with the missing hands back to whereever it is that wants to string him up........

Glad to know you are well, there must be a lot of lucky people that were a bit late or early, or took other routes to work today.

  24. Hey Guys,

I'm gald everyone has checked in and is ok. Terrible news and as there is around 300,000 Aussies in the UK at any one time, this is a bad time for us as well. So far seven confirmed Australian deaths.

Just like to say, in the past alot of HAMBers have come down with a bunch of tough guy kill the rag heads retoric and I'm glad this time has been different. The attacks were a cowordly, di****able act but its important not to paint our Muslim brothers with the same brush we use to tar these terrorists. There is dismay and outrage accross the world from true Muslims and in most Arabic nations. If you've never met a true Muslim or Arab before, they put our notions of tollerence, hospitality and friendship to shame.

  25. marq, Limey, glad you guys are okay. When I was in London with my family this winter I don't know how many times I went thru the Edgeware Road station, so that was particularly chilling. I was on the phone today with someone who was on a London bus this morning when the attacks commenced. She didn't know anything had happened, when the bus suddenly was taken to a holding area and she and other p***engers were told to disembark... NOW.

Beirut, WTC '93, Kobar, the Cole, Somalia, the Emb***y bombings in Saudi, 9/11, Bali, Madrid, the Intifada, the killing of kids in Beslan, hundreds hacked to death in Thailand, now London 7/7. At what point do we start taking these ****ers seriously?

Sorry, but I couldn't dissagree more! If this were 100% true these Arabic nations would rise up and take a firm hand to those who taint the middle east's reputation. Instead, we see complacency from these nations.
How many middle eastern nations are currently using their militaries and police to root out these terrorist in there own countries? How about deploying them to known hot spots?
"Most Arabic nations."... Name them...When have they called those Nations actively looking to destroy terrorism an ally, friend or partner in this effort and actually DONE something to stop or reduce it? Most arabic nations are either controlled by Islamic extremists or getting closer and closer to it. This is evident by the rhetoric they spew everyday, which is the root and perpetual stimulator of this type of terrorism.

My heart goes out to those impacted by todays cowardly actions. May we ALL have the strength and determination to drive toward a free and peacful world...It will not create itself...

Why do I sense this thread is about to be closed?

  30. Hi Snake,

One of the long running rules of the HAMB is a "no politics one" and I really dont want to see this thread closed. I'm not saying either of our comments would warrant closing this thread but I'd hate to see it ignite something and be responded to by others that may not have enough restraint in what they say.

This issue like every global one is complex with no easy asnwers - if they existed then I'm sure they would have been exercised by now. All I truely wish for, is peace in this world and to that end I made my post. So, consider this an olive branch and lets get back to the garage!

    Danny
