Hi all, It looks like the holy grail of hot rod shows has suc***bed to the mighty dollar. Check out http://www.vivalasvegas.net/carshow.php and see what I mean. Making people pay for a wristband to get your spot is pretty ****ed up. And making those who just pay for the car show get in line Saturday morning only is extra lame. Making people who want to check out the cars pay to wlak around and look is beyond lame. Having the car show in a chain linked area behind the hotel and the strict 9-4 rule doesn't make it worth it to drive 6+ hours. We go for the cars, not the ****ing walk-a-billy music and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in saying that. After this years show I agree that changes were in order but it could have been done without ruining the show. If the hotel wouldn't listen than why not move the show to another hotel? Heads up to all, the anti-vlv show is in the works if the current rules actually make it to the event. Here are a couple REASONABLE rules that might have helped: 1) ABSOLUTELY no driving of cars on the upper lot except while parking for the show. Any other driving will result in expulsion from upper lot. 2) ABSOLUTELY no bottles. 3) No more slaps on the wrist from the so-called security. **** up once and get banned from car show area.
Do a search of posts back to April about VLV, what went down, and the need to implement new policies.........then realize your mistake on who to blame....then realize its tech week........
Sorry, I know its tech-week, but I felt this was important enough. Thanks everyone for letting an old guy rant a little
I don't mind giving $20 for the show, it costs money to organise **** like this! Do us all a favor and don't come....!
Personally I don't like to give Tom Ingram a dime of my money and I don't. I'm saving my money up for the Round up next year.
Right on! That dude is a ****ing homo. And why don't you computer tuff guys relax, I doubt you would talk that much **** to my face regarding my feelings about a car show. ****ing little man/computer man disease!
No reason to get ugly... Tom Ingram has VERY questionable business practices... if you've ever been a partner in anything with him you'd know... Axle on the other hand is great... and I'm sure he's doing the best he can under the cir***stances.
I'll be there, 20 bux is fine for me, since I can't drive yet, I can't make it to any other goings ons, like paso, hamb drags, etc. I can't comment on cuffed jeans, cause I wear them.
