I posted a different question a couple days ago about bending the pitman and idler arm. Really dont want to do that. I know the dual sump pan will clear the center link, but I can find one thats reasonably priced. My question is, would one of these race pans with the notch cut out fit? I didn't know if someone else had done this already or had some other ideas. Im gettin to the point where Im just going to notch it my self and be done with it. Again any help would be appreciated
    Thanks fellas

Yep, like others have said, the chevy II nova SS 327 oil pan should clear.

If you do notch the oil pan, make sure to get that pink and white leak check stuff before you finish it all up.

X 2 - put one on my 53 Ford convert "back in the day". If you are a good welder you could do it yourself - ultimate in "cheap"......weld on "C" shaped plate - cut tie rod - lower and weld to plate - that's all it was. I think I got it from Honest Charlie - the old one - but not sure.

I have found it is easier to drop the draglink than to modify the oil pan. Cut,weld and add a couple gussets and it will be plenty strong enough. The Chevy II pans are front sump, so they use a different pump, pick up/ tube ***embly and maybe even the rod that drives it off the dist. I have all those parts that I'd sell. But, as I said, dropping the draglink is the way I'd go.
