Hey, going to spend my summer vacation in CO along with my family this summer, late july to mid august As a Hot rodder and Ford man I would like to have some tips about: carshows, meetings, swaps etc, you know things that would interest guys like us
Nothing going on here...gas prices are too high...everyone is staying home, rod runs cancelled. Car shows (indoor) are done and over with in November...rod runs take over in the summer...swap meets are done in February (oh, maybe one at Front Range airport in June) Couple small runs in July...couple in August...nothing major however -no big ones...lots of local cruises on Fridays/Saturdays around the area... I have a list but not with me at this time... R-
Some local cruises in the Denver area, A big one the 1st Sat of each month in Golden, west side of Denver, smaller town runs here & in Wyoming. Just a bit early to get the listings but keep checking.
For sure Golden super cruise is a MUST SEE in my book, up to 5000 people all shoved into one end of town and a lot of cars cruising, not just sitting. A few other shows too, depends on when youre here. Can find a cruise night just about any night youre in denver, and a few more around. PM me when youre going to be here, and if i have time off work ill be glad to take you around. We can hit up a few shops and see some works in progress too.
Thanks, gonna visit Golden 8/4, looks like a nice event! anyone building, driving "old school" Hot rods in Denver area?
Well despite what others say, Colorado is full of shows. They may be little and local, but still full of cool cars. There is the NSRA every summer in Pueblo. Swap meets and other things go on at random. What ever cities you will be in, check out the upcomming events, most cities require a permitt for shows, so they will be listed on the web or local papers. Colorado is a serious hot rod state and lots of traditional or any other type of car you wuld like to see. Have lots of fun!!!
Old school, new school, some other wild school nobody else goes to. Yeah, theres people building them around here and driving them too. Really, PM me and I'll take you around when youre here. Some cool shops, and a couple that you'll leave scratching your head.
I maybe should have used the expression "Traditional" instead, as you already had figured out, english isnt my first language What I ment was like: pre 1960, flathead, manual trans, diagonal tires,,you know
