how to cut a long 58-59 chevy truck bed to short bed.

I don't know if you get the "Power Block" shows in your area, but on a "Trucks" episode, they shortened a long bed pick-up into a short bed.

 

that will help me allot getting the specs of ur bed.

 

I guess that show comes out on cable. you live like 10 miles away from me. I don't have cable if I do I'll be a couch potato.

 

I think you can pull up the shows online.

 

I did that to my Apache right before I sold it. I cut 9.5'' in the front and 10'' in the back. I had a shorted with me also, so I was able to compare them side by side, and they matched up perfectly besides the new rear section being 3/4 in longer (which I needed because of how my new rear frame section was). So, if you want it an exact match, cut the rear 10.75'' and you should be golden. I have pics somewhere of the cut pieces and after its welded back together. I'll see if I can find them and load them up for you.

Holliwood, I believe it was your thread I was refering to. Thats the one he needs to see, and yes you can pull up the episode of trucks online. I think you can order DVDs of complete builds aswell.
