removal offront crossmember in 59 apache

I got a 59 apache in which i put a heidts mustang 2 front suspension in it. I got a question for some of you guys. You think it would be safe to totally remove the factory crossmember that is in front of it. Its just in my damn way and want to clean the front up little. Sorry no pictures my camera is broke. Hopefully someone with a apache knows what im talking about.

 

If you're welding in the new crossmember, you should be ok taking out the original.

 

iv taken the front cross member out on my 56 truck and my 58 burb,(there the same ch***is) iv replaced that with some box section then welded in my jag x member
