Lots of pain and death in that video.

 

I cant look, I just cant look .... was Roger Ward in that video busting up both arms in a champ car barrel roll .... I just cant look.

 

I wonder what yr they begain to use seat belts & roll cages and started to stay "in" the car instead of flying "out"??

 

I've heard it said that the first auto race occurred right after the second auto rolled off the ***embly line. Kind of makes me wonder why the roll bar wasn't invented right after the first race car rolled over killing the driver.

Spectator: Wow! Did you see that? The driver was thrown out of his car and then the car ran over him.

Driver: Yep, auto racing is a dangerous business but, I protect myself with this leather helmet and and these goggles.

Kind of makes one wonder how come our government hasn't stepped in and outlawed all forms of auto racing.

Those guys were of a different breed. I personally wont watch videos involving a driver getting killed, but it serves as a reminder to never take safety equipment for granted. I have to remind myself this when reading nit-picky rules at local tracks

 

Just watched this, some great stuff.
