Hi All, As a brief intro, I am an ol' fella who likes old cars. I've owned a '55 Chevy, '63 Pontiac Tempest, some VWs, some station wagons (when I was married), and now drive a Texas Cadillac (Ford F150). Just now, I'd like help identifying this Chevy wheel cover (model and year). I scoured the web for several hours to no avail. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks for the help and for allowing me to join y'all. geoman
Welcome from Kansas from another old fart - Texan by birth, Kansan by employment. That hubcap appears to be from a 76-80 LUV - 6 spokes, 6 slots at bottom of spokes, black panels. http://www.hubcaps.org/luv.html Hope that helps - welcome to the H.A.M.B.
My pleasure sir. Just pay it forward by helping others on the board form time to time. I inched up to grenage inspector by simply greeting a few folks each time I log in on the "intro" thread, and have met a lot of the new guys and ladies from all over the world. The mystery of the post count goes like this: HAMB # of post categories 1-49 = fng 50-99 = newbie 100-399 = grenade inspector 400-999 = member 1000-2499 = senior member 2500+ = old school hamber ( or just pay 50 bucks and become an alliance member ) Spending a little time greeting folks will give you a chance to chat with people from all over the world, and they may have similar projects (and problems) as you do. Occasionally they need to be nudged to introduce themselves, or tell about what brought them, or perhaps to point them to the main board to post their question to the correct audience. This forum is just for intros, and to help folks get started, but you get the idea. Lots of good people here and AWESOME technical abilities. Once again, welcome to the H.A.M.B. Willy P
