What can you do if you MUST HAVE an aluminum oli pan for your AMC V8?

    Do it yourself...

Got pattern almost done today. I used old sheet metal oil pan and a lot of bondo and TLC.

Looks awesome. Did you make pattern oversize? It will shrink when cast. Love stuff like this.

Hey, try bulltear.com or bjsoffroad.com they m,ay already have what your looking for. I have a grandwagoneer so I know all about the AMC headaches!!

  16. if they turn out good, which I am sure it will, I bet Bultear would like to put them in his catalog! Pretty cool by the way! I have an amc blower intake I wouldn't mind casting some day! Why did you have to have it and what is it going on?

Thank you of those kind words...

"Why did you have to have it and what is it going on?"
It is for good looks... I´m going to use it on my blown AMC 360 and tf 727 with finned oil pan.

"bulltear.com or bjsoffroad.com they m,ay already have what your looking for"

No, there are any cast aluminum oil pans (or finned ones) for sale.. I bought one local made727 "no name" oil pan, so I didn´t have to make it by myself...

It is my luck that there is Atlantic ocean between us...

I know, I have some friends who like to have some, too...

Do any of you Hambers know, if there has been any cast aluminum oil pans for AMC V8s?
I have asked this on AMC forums, but they haven´t seen any... Only welded aluminum sheet metal ones, for racing use.

VERY nice casting. Now spool up the mill and finish it up. Are you going to polish it like all that other aluminum in the pictures, or leave it as cast?

Edit: I see Master of None beat me to the polish question, he must use more than one finger to type........
