Dont believe I have any from Magnolia .... most of the few pics I have are from Quaker City and few from Dragway 42 .... but ill go back thru and take another look .... by the way .... that Chevy Boys Corvette is still in existance and owned by someone in the local area .
AA/GD, Would you know of anyone else that might have any pictures from Mag. or Quaker? If so, ask if they could post some.
R W Since i havent lived in ohio for the last 12 years my network isnt as good as it used to be . I personally dont know anyone on HAMB who might be able to help you out . But im going to send an email or two back east to see what i can find . I will keep you posted . Can I ***ume that some one could send you photos directly thru email if i can find some ?
we had super 8 movies from Quaker late 50's with the timing tower in a silo and fields around the track. my Dad ran a '57 ford that was red and later black with a red stripe..everytime you guys post these old pics I look for it in the back ground or on the track. had the movies put on vhs years ago and the footage ended up on a Pittsburgh area "Memories" tape put out by LJ video, don't think they are in business anymore.
I'd like to see some old Mag or Quaker pics also. Never thought to take a camera back then. Mag was the place to go for the local hot-shoes here, when I was a kid. It reopened a few years ago running 1/8, btw. I'll ask some of the few oldtimers still around, if they have any pics from back then.
we r hoping to have a match race this summer between a couple of street g***ers,, a 65 comet the bonecrusher n 62 ranchero lil pepe' the guys r good friends,, many of their friends have been patienly waiting,, maybe theyll see this,, and comment on wholl take the win,,when its scheduled well post n probably see quite a turn out magnolia is still a very traditional track and has had some good dragracing
boy, those are some great pictures. If that comet runs as good as it looks like it will that primer-job chero does't stand a chance.
dear mr. pepe' maybe you should spend more time working on that p o s and less time trying to make rhymes. summer will be here before you know it and you need all time you possibly have to even remotely stand a chance at the big event!!!

Hey Ricky Bobby...yeah you Bonecrusher...Don't worry, I called Magnolia and told them to order a couple extra bags of oil dry...Remember the last time you revved that big mountain motor Ford over 4200 RPM? There is still and oily spot and shrapnel on 224. I'll let little Pepe do the rest of the talking...
yea don bring your willys down, the track is well takin care of, n its rite out of the past, only change its 1/8 mi. matter of fact well let you know the date of this summers biggest grudge race,,n one of them might git an old country ***wippin
