Since it is a rendering, it could be anything from the 30's. It also has some Auburn influence.

The artist was a illustrator for Lockheed Martian, Douglas Aircraft, Sunkist, Carnation and in the USAF Art Program and he studied at Chovinard Art Center in Los Angeles CA. In person it looks very nice.

I would guess a fantasy drawing or perhaps a custom rendering for a coachbuilder. The lights are reminiscent of Pierce Arrow but look more like late 30s Lincoln. I've never seen a Packard or a Pierce with skirted fenders and a fold down windshield.

That's a '35 Henway Cabriolet De'Louxe. Robert J. Fogle completed the design, and submitted it to the Packard Corp. in May of 1952.

You sure about that? Could it be a Capon Convertible Coupe? Or maybe you're just trying to Pullet a fast one on someone who doesnt know what a Hen weighs.

I dont think it a 35 model because the artist signed it in 32. I have seen some 33 Pierce Arrows with the vents on the hood area and were the spare tire sits matches the same lines. I also found one with a fold down window. Windshield

Willy, QUIT taking these guys seriously..."stolen" was prolly a joke...a '35 Henway IS a joke...it goes something like this: "What's a Henway...???" Answer: "About 3 pounds...!!!" A Capon Convertible was NEVER made (at least, I don't think it has)...and most of the guys here are pullet-ing your leg.

Why is it important to know the make of the car in the painting...??? Is it your car or ...???

Thanks Bullet Nose. Dont know what I did wrong to be mislead. I have been working on cars all my life but I dont know much about the 30's. I never would have thought that asking for advice or info on a subject would be so hard. I feel you get your best info from those who have a p***ion about a subject.

During the warm months I work for myself as a Auto Tech. What I dont make as an Auto Tech I vest in art. I cant give away what I buy and as for any art subject manner is a pretty good bit of its value. I just sent most of my money helping my oldist son get a car and set him up in a apartment. This is how I put food on the table. This is not a print, this is an Org. Hands on.

Willyinmd, like you, I am no expert on 30's cars. But the lack of door handles would lead me to believe it was a concept painting or styling exercise as opposed to a rendering of an actual car.

You're a good man in trying to help your family.
I think what you have there is a nice rendering of a concept car, that was never actually produced, but the artwork in itself is worth some money.

At the bottom of the picture you posted in your introduction is this:

Robert Poole 1933 Packard Roadster Concept

A few things to think about. With the 30's High End cars if you wanted something differant you could get it. The front grill area looks like one from the silver arrow. I also seen one with the folding windshield. On the 33 they had the non open fender skirts. The artist was an illustrator and was hired by the best places of the time,Lockheed, Douglas Aircraft. He signed the art in 32 and was not seen before hand leading me to beleave he had some inside knowledge as to what was going to come the following year. Possiable involed.

You know I have not seen too much custom auto hot rod art. I think thats something people dont want to give up easy. Many of the creators are still alive and thier works are personal to them. Most stuff I find people or the seller themselfs wouldnt hang the things I buy up in thier own homes but thats not to say the guy down the street wouldnt. There is a *** for every seat and the thing is matching it up. All the cars of today are through away cars & hot rods are the coolist on the roads and aways will be.
