I remember, back in the day, when I was a young boy.
(damn, I never thought I’d ever write that)
On Saturday mornings, dad would wash the family car,
and “Little Johnny” always wanted to help. I’m sure in
reality he was more of a hindrance than help. Dad soon realized
that “Little Johnny” was indeed a good ***et to have around.
He was just the right size to scrub those whitewalls. He had
become very adept to polishing those m***ive chrome bumpers,
and all of that stainless steel trim work.
“Little Johnny” also though it was fun to remove the tar from the rockers,
    while laying on his back.

But, the days of whitewalls and chrome bumpers are long gone
    on today’s cars.

I still wash my own car, although not every week, but rarely see
anyone else doing it, and if they are, they’re doing it by themselves.

So what happened to “Little Johnny”, did he die ?

  2. My youngest is 40 this year.

But little johnny is like puff the majic dragon. Quilted wings and giant things made way for other toys.

His parents have probably checked into the child labor laws and will sue you if they see him in your driveway.

Is this the same Little Johnny?
Little Johnny awoke one night to hear strange noises coming from his parents bedroom. When he opened the door his dad was on his mom naked . He said "Dad what are you and mom doing? His dad told him "I'm parking my car in yours mom's garage. Go back to bed."
Well the next day, the girl next door came over to play with johnny. He said "I have a new game for us to play." what's it called the girl replied . It's called parking the car . Wanna try it he said. Sure said the little girl.
Well Johnny tells her how to play and they get off to a good start. A few minutes later all you can here is little Johnny screaming . His mom rushes into the room and says" what the hell is going on here? . The girl tries her best to explain. She said "You see we were playing park the car and Little Johnny got his car all most all the way in. The back tires wouldnt fit so I cut them off!

Well, I can't top that joke but my youngest is 28 and still helps with my projects when he shows up at the house and has time but his free time is harder to come by than mine is.

I think that too many kids are all too wrapped up with electronic baby sitters that they sit in front of and those that aren't are seriously into their own activities and don't have an interest in hanging around and helping with the car.

My son is 10. He's definitely a little Johnny...for now. Every day I hope that video games, peer pressure and social media don't melt his brain. I have a 63 Nova SS waiting in the wings to be his project. If I can keep him interested for another 3 or 4 years, I have a shot. My stepson is 26 and he's finally pulling out from the negative influences of his lazy worthless "friends". I didn't win that one.

My little johnny is still willing to work, not that he has a choice. He often get the choice work with dad or sit on the step. He thinks changing the oil is the coolest thing ever. he is 7 in two days.

My Little Johnny is 26 and is getting ready to open his own silk screen business in about a week, following his big brother who started his own business in '96 and still going strong.

Hell maybe I shouldn't regret it. Today's lil Johnny probably don't even know it :(.

Years ago, cars were "the thing"...for almost everybody. Not so much now.

Little Johnny's teacher was having the kids think of words that begin with each letter of the alphabet. With each new letter, Johnny would raise his hand excitedly to be called on. But teacher knew that Johnny had a problem with swearing, and hesitated to call on him, fearing the words he came up with would be inappropriate...you know...A for ***hole, B for *****, C for...you get the idea. Teacher got to the letter R, and Johnny was still trying to get called on. She couldn't think of any bad words that start with R, so she took a chance and called on him. Johnny was excited to finally get a chance, and fairly yelled the word "rat!" The relieved teacher said, "That's good, Johnny...R for rat...very good."

Then Johnny added, "Yeah..........rat.........like the big son-of-a-***** my ol' man shot the goddam *** out of the other night...you shoulda seen that mother****er!"

The 4th grade cl*** was learning a little about *** every day.

The teacher told everyone to go home and watch TV and come back tomorrow to give a report on what they learned about *** on TV.

The next day, at the right time, the teacher asked Mary what she learned about *** on TV. Mary said she was watching general hospital and the doctors and nurse were kissing each other and it was full of ***. She got an "A".

Linda said she watched reruns of Ben Casey MD and there were pregnant women all over the pace and it was full of ***... she also got an "A".

After everyone gave their report, Little Johnny was still at the back of the cl***.. the teacher was a little leery to ask but, finally, she called on Johnny.

"Johnny, what did you learn about *** on TV?".

Johnny said "I was watching this here Gene Autry western movie... and old Gene was riding into this "box canyon".... and 500 Injuns were on top of that canyon ready to ambush ol' Gene... then Ol' Gene pulled out both of his six guns and shot every one of those damn Injuns dead".

The teacher paused for a second and said "That has nothing to do with *** Johnny".

Johnny replied... "The hell it don't... taught them Injuns not to **** with Gene Autry!"......

To my oldest Little Johnny (35) a car is just a form of transportation, to my youngest (33) he's just like dad, lives, breathes and just can't get enough of em.

  25. My oldest,"Little Johnny"(strangely enough his name IS John)is 42 and has gotten away from cars for awhile now.His transportation is a Chevy Silverado that looks like it has been through a Mad Max movie.
My youngest son(37)works in a truck dealership in the parts department and recently bought back my Mustang GT that I got new in 1982 from the guy I sold it to.His son had absolutely no interest in cars and never has.Justin(my son)has his own "Little Johnny"(Jake) now and although he is only 3 is a total gearhead. There is hope.
    My Mustang then and now.

My little Johnny is now 13 and he does not help me clean the car anymore. We still get along good, and he will still ride in my Acadian with me and has some interest in cars, but he is growing up and developing his own interests and friends. It is kind of sad and hard seeing your kids grow up and not need you so much, but I would not want him to be a "Little Johnny" (have the mental state of a young child) all of his life.
Enjoy your children at every stage and age they are at...they grow up fast!

My little Johnny is female and two years old. Underneath one of the projects the other day I needed the screwdriver: naturally it's miles out of reach. Erin (little johnny) is toddling around picking up dregs of welding wire (oooh shiny!). Can Erin please hand daddy the yellow screwdriver? Sure enough, over comes the screwdriver gripped in both hands. Thank you sweetheart....but no. Daddy has to hand over something in return. OK, here's a 1/2" ring spanner. Exchange made, both parties happy. Until daddy needs the spanner. Shall we swap again? No says female little Johnny, running away with spanner into the house and hiding it............there is hope!
