Hi there, Been building my truck for three years now and hitting the point of needing some advise on issues that are beyond me, so i hope this board and its members can help me out and i can help others as well. My project, bought a 52 ford f1 with the cab mounted on a real nice frame that has a 73 camero front clip and a 10 bolt chevy rear. I did the following to it over the last three years, Chevy steering column and ps. Ford 302 with a bunch of goodies, headers etc Fuel tank between rear rails All new brakes and components New calipers, drums Modified flathead rad for the 302 C6 ****** Body, new fibergl*** rear and front fenders and running boards. Box is mint now with welded in custom tailgate and filled stake pockets Cab is mint now with new gl***, interior painted, lined and dynamatted. Modified a 48 f1 hood to fit, just to keep the old boys guessin She is pretty well ready for paint. Few small body issues like getting my damn front fenders to line up right. My biggest issue is this camero clip, i swear it is too wide, but i know guys run it in these rigs. It is lowered about 2" off the ground so when i turn the tires i get some rubbing which is not cool. I have no idea about lowering or raising these rides but can i put a taller/heavier spring in to raise it a hair and help eliminate the rub? Not sure. Anyways, i will post some pics here soon..
