So iv'e stopped in to the H.A.M.B a few times but finally getting around to joining! I'm just a small town Texas Panhandle boy trying to raise a family and still have time to work on my truck after everyones in bed. My boss found me this truck last year and iv'e been hooked every since. 1949 Dodge B-1-B "Pilothouse" 1/2 ton pickup. Absolutely fell in love with it and now it's home and off the the races. Very new to working on trucks but hey everything was a lot simpler in 49 and it's not hard to figure it out. A couple weeks after I got my 49 I found a 52 B-3-B "Pilothouse" on my father-in-laws farm and he had no use for it so it's become my donor truck. A month after that I found a 53 GMC "Stovebolt" 1 1/2 ton truck on her Granddads farm he donated to me as well. It's the next project after the "Snowman" Well anyway thats my story and God Bless our Troops!! Here's the "Snowman" [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG]
Howdy my fellow Amarilloan! Proud to have you aboard the mothership. There's a small group of us here from the Big City, and for the most part we all know each other by name.......or by reputation. Welcome home my friend.
Good to hear from ya Buzzard King!! You every partake in Cruise night my friend? Only been down there once with my buddy. Nice to know some fellow car and truck junkies who live around here!!
Welcome from Indy....Looks like the truck was used for delivering burial vaults with that hoist in the back.
