Howdyhowdy -- Been living here in TN a whole 3 months now, was wondering about that Pigeon Forge car show I've heard mentioned here in the past. When is it, I thought sometime in April? There is the NSRA nats south in Knoxville on April 30 to May 2. Beats a blank if you like late models too.
If you are talking about the biggie that is the Shades of The Past Run which is always the weekend after Labor Day in September. Lots of cruising at night and bad traffic too. Sad though, heard that they were moving from the farm to the Dollywood water park. Going from gr*** to hot asphalt. Guess it doesn't matter though we only go to the show one day and thats for the swap meet. We walk the Motel lots at night to look at cars when its much cooler and FREE. Don't want to sound like a cheap skate or anything but get ready for over priced everything including rooms. A $39.00 dollar room on Wednesday can go to $150.00 by Thursday at some Hotels. Let me know if you go. We have a Tennessee HAMB Social Group here and maybe we can get together for a meet and greet or something. 48 Poncho

If I remember right there is a Grand Run in the spring and fall also, at the grand Hotel in P.F. , there is also some type of ford truck run usually there also. Do a general search on Google for rod runs at pidgeon Forge, see if that helps. Like Edsel Presley said there seems to be one there about every other weekend. Contact the visitors bureau in PF.
The Spring Grand Run is next weekend. The F-100 Supernationals is the weekend after Mother's Day at the new City Parking lot and The Great Smoky Mountain F-1oo Show is at the Smoky Shadows Motel the weekend after Father's Day!! The Grand Hotel wesite has a listing of events.

Grand Run is this weekend 4/12-15. Dixie Oil and Gas swap meet is also the same time, 9 miles North of Sevierville on Hwy 411.
Save your popcorn for later, at the R.R. Rumble they race and show Hot Rods at a Drag Strip, what's not to like about that? As for the event name, well, I had a student that worked for me a few years back; he was named Rusty Nail. I'm sure his folks thought the name was cool when he was a youngster, ya see...
