Hi all - I've run across HAMB a couple times, mostly looking for pictures of a car or a certain part. Since I always seem to get stuck looking around here for several hours at a time, I thought I'd register. My name's Adam, and I've been into all sorts of vehicles for as long as I can remember. I first found out about customs probably in the mid '80s (the first custom I recall seeing was Eldon Titus' "Crimson Skull" Buick) and have been hooked since... I really like the earlier cars - '36 Fords, '40 Mercs, the way Barris and Westergard did them in the day, but anything up to the mid '60s can be just as cool.. I worked for a car restoration shop from '89 to '99, and researching cars gave me a ton of ideas for customs. I have a '64 Riv sitting in the garage, and a head full of ideas for it... Someday.
Welcome from T-Town Oklahoma. It doesn't take much to make a Riv look like a custom. GM did a pretty good job right from the factory.
Thanks to you and all for the welcome. My Riv is currently stock, so no pictures worth wasting space over. If I could up load what I see in my mind's eye, then there'd something to post...
