Did the front wheels rub in a hard turn? The front wheels looked reversed like the back ones from the picture.I got a set of chrome "OE's" unreversed for mine because i was affraid of the tire interference in the front.I thought my '60 was low in the front until i saw your '59.
I don't have a pic of my 60 raked forward anymore but I've never had any tire problems with mine and my wheels are offset quite a bit. And mine sits pretty low right now.
my chevy's got a rake to it currently. the old owner put a mustang II front end on it and left the stock springs.i'll be takin out some of the leaves later. creepy
Thats perfect, its the look i was after.Good thing i didnt ask for pics of cars that were dumped in the rear.
I'm not sure if it would rub because the inner fenders were out when I bought the car. Either way it wasn't safe. The springs were cut too much causing the upper control arms to be out of wack so I replaced them with 2" dropped springs for BB chevy. It actually raised the front about 1-1/2" from before. I installed the inner fenders after that so I wouldn't know. It still has a little rake to it which i think looks better than before and there's no rubbing...
