Event Coverage Stafford Swap Meet this Weekend 4/15 Connecticut

Myself and Josh from NES&C will be set up at the Stafford swap meet this weekend (Howie is stuck at Military drill). Allstar Derrick will be right next to us. Swing by and say "hello" We will be in the pits amongst the broken power tools, rusty mid 90's F series truck parts and mustang parts

 

I'm sure that I'll be set up between the stinky fire guy with storm windows, and the guy with the out of tune snow blower and dirt bike the he'll have to start every 5 minutes !!!!
Bringing some goodies, but mostly fiberglass race hoods and fenders.Look for my picture board with my WAY too many projects for sale.

My stuff should sell on saturday, I hope...heck, I just sold a pair of old aftermarket spinners an hour ago...the guy spotted the pile I was making for Stafford

 

Even though there is usually never much good at this one it is still a bunch of fun! I usually load of a trailer full of Model A stuff but I can't make it this year, way out in the middle of no where for work.

We were all excited to try out our new fire pit too!

First time looking for BBC stuff seems thats all I see up there between above discribed items.Sausage and peppers on a dry ass roll is only sure thing.

 

Ahhhh, I miss the Stafford Swap Meet and the swap meet at the Big E fairgrounds in the winter. Beats the nothing swap meets that happen down here!

 

on the fence right now about going... got a drainage ditch to dig or swop meet. backhoe and gravel or worn race car tires, bent push bars, lawn sweepers, and greasy food. back ache, sore shoulders and hands or sore feet, headache and diarrhea. tuff call.

 

This post has summed up Stafford so perfectly I almost spilled my beer on they keyboard.

 

You guys are forgetting 30 year old snowblowers...I just hope it's not a mud pit on Sunday morning...

 

Stafford flat out SUCKS!!! The CSRA swap in Bristol is the one to go to.

well well well.. now I have two places to be this sunday.. you guys arent really doing a great job to convince me to drive 5hrs to this meet..

 

Stafford Springs, oh yes, 1909 LOZIER hub cap for $5.00 eBayed to Australia for $285. but that was several years ago. Have fun, post photos, I've got a Tag Sale in my driveway.............funny it looks like a Stafford spot without the gas and drive time expense. Bob

 

Vendors can get in from 10am today at the back gate, and all night long. Back gate is closed for lunch break from 12 noon to 1pm today (Saturday).

Spectators can get in today (at the back gate only), but not during the lunch break.

 

EXTRA EXTRA!!!! For First Timers PAY AND PARK on someones LAWN outside the Raceway. They need the money and you can save the lost gas you'll burn trying to exit the track lot. Bob

 

The report from the front lines is that there are some good deals to be had ........Buick Drum/Ford Hub set for cheap $$$.......

 

4 miles from my house and its a $10 walk, 'cause there is never any buick parts for me.

 

Can we get an update.....has the little old couple, on the back side of the track that sells porn, set up their booth yet?! You guys are making me wish I could be there. Even though its not a very good meet I look forward to it every year.

 

I'll stay up tonight late and watch the race, then get up early for the swap meet. Hope the weather holds out...
