It looks like one touched down close to Norman about an hour ago. Tis the season for those things in that area. One came within 3/4 of a mile of my mother in laws house 5 years ago when we were down there in McGregor, Tx.

My cousin in OK City just posted on Facebook that round two was there tornado wise and he was ducking for cover.

Tornado was on the ground in central Norman, OK. a lot of trees and roofs damaged. That's south and east of the OKC fairgrounds where the NSRA is being held. Heavy rain but apparently no hail or tornado damage around the hotel and fairground area.

More coming later this evening and the weathermen are wringing their hands about tomorrow. I left the fairgrounds and took the woodie home around 2:30 so there was no problem. May just drive the Honda down tomorrow, it's already hail damaged.

For those of you who live in the warning areas, please stay safe.
We have all had some wierd weather this year. I hope the Tornados do not turn out to be as frequent and damaging as they are thinking.

Serious stuff headed for OKC right now.

And the local paper took this picture about 5 miles from my house at the farm this afternoon. I don't think it touched the ground.

  11. Weird weather every time LSRU rolls around... one year all the trees were topped off for 50-60 miles!

Stay alert and stay safe. A friend of mine who lives in Kennedale, Tx. said he came through last wks. storms ok, but 3 blocks from his house there was extensive damage with cars piled on top of cars. Keep the radios tuned to the channels that offer weather alerts.

Just had a couple take a swipe at the south end of Wichita.
Have to wait until morning to see how bad it was.
