Cant remember the last time I saw a spare hanging off the back of a Model A. Does anyone carry a spare these days?
I keep a spare under the tonneau cover in the bed of my A pickup just in case, although I haven't had to use it in the last 26 years.
I have a little coupe and am thinking about hanging one off the back on an original mount just to be different. Humm, cant remember what it looked like some 30 years ago. Guess just depends on what kind of tire and wheel?
I had no room for a spare, so a have a tire plug kit and a little air compresor that is 12 volt, plus a can of fix-a-flat.
can of fix a flat , a plug kit, and a credit card..**** the spare it slows me down and looks bad. to be honest with you, I cant remember the last time i had to change a tire on the side of the road..maybe just luck? jinx
I recall a model A full fender coupe 40 years ago, that was already an old build...it had the rear spare with a roll & pleated white tire cover that covered the whole tire and wheel. Do what you gotta do.
I haven't carried a spare in my OT DD for more than 60k miles. I carry a plug kit, air compressor, can of fix-a-flat, and the knowledge to use it all.
dont carry a spare tire..but always run with a spare tube and an old school hand pump..henry would be proud
my traditional hotrod 31 coupe spare was in the way of getting things in and out of the trunk so I carry the spare as a sidemount
