48-50 Ford Hood Latch Assembly Help

Can anyone help me out and let me know how the hood latch ***embly is put together? I just pick up a hood for my 50 and it was all taken apart.

 

the only part on the hood is the latch rod/spring it screws into the hood and has a lock nut on it the rest of the latch is on the hood latch support piece that the upper grill bars bolt to

 

Thanks 57ford, but I'm refering to the release mechanism.

 

Buy a shop manual. Best thing you will ever spend $20 on...
