I'll be in my '58 Chevy. Hoping to beat the 15.7 @ 87 I ran last time I was at the strip.

I'm making it, but I won't be running anything.

Oh yeah, if anybody wants a '49 F1 for $250 (good fenders, cab, rest of body rough), bring a trailer. I live about 15 minutes from the track.

What's the model year cut off? A couple of friends asked me about bringing their nostalgia superstockers, a 66 Biscayane and a 62 Dodge. Are they ok?

Dave - I wouldn't say there is a cut off, especially if they are superstockers. The more the merrier, right man. There are going to be all kinds of cars there.

I got my battery hold down built last night. Woo Hoo
Now I just need to decide if I am going to do the Upper A arms before hand or not. I may just wait.

    PBRMEASAP WHERE ARE YOU ?????

Here are some shots of the t shirts and making the battery holder

Thanks. So a '66 model year car is ok participate in the Run whatcha brung cl***.

I don't think they care anything about trophies (no offense to those that made or donated stuff for the trophies). They just want to run with hot rods instead of bracket cars and just hang out, drink beer etc. Shoot, my coupe doesn't fit into any of the cl***es either, but that never stops me from running.

The wife and I will be heading down there. I'm game for going down on Saturday morning.
I'm trying to get my exhaust done so it doesn't sit 2" off the ground. Don't know if I can do the bends so I may have to take it somewhere. Need to go from some block huggers to about as far back as the ****** mount.

So what kind of attendance is expected? Did flyers go out, or did you guys contact local car clubs? It would be cool if this thing got big...

Only one of us that "might" need one, I think, would be Josh. But I don't think he'll be able to hook up enough with those radials he's got on there.

What is the deal with having a p***enger in the car with you? Do they allow that?

Woo - Nice offer Stevie! I may need to get that dusted off for the A model in a little while.

I wish OCP! I think you are allowed a p***enger as long as they have seat belt and helmet.

Brian31, I expect about 30 folks as far as our group goes. I called the Atl Roadkings last week and will bug em again later on this week. It would be cool if this got big.

Don't think you need a helmet unless you are running like a 13.99 or better. But that may be a high time. They are the standard NHRA rules.

I'll predict hot and muggy, with an aftenoon boomer, followed by hot and muggy easing off to high 70's for the evening
