Event Coverage April 15th - Orange CA Car Show

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hotroddon, Apr 12, 2012.

  1. This Sunday is the 18th annual Orange Plaza (traffic Circle to most of us) car show. It's a good mix of all types of cars, Hot Rods, Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Resto's - a little for everyone. Plus the Circle has all the cool restaurants, antique stores, Army/Navy store etc.
It's sold out as usual (400 car limit and it sells out in about 6 days), but if you show up around 7-7:30 there are usually some spaces that become available to get your car in. If not, just come and hang out - it's a pretty good day overall.
I'll be working parking as usual and will have the 37 Coupe. See ya there.

lots of residencial all the way around the circle to park, parking on those streets is usually congested, but you wont have any trouble finding a spot.- the earlier you get there the better.

Well, if I still lived in Orange, I would have been there......

  7. Was a great turn out. As usual I worked parking of the cars from 5:15 til 8:00am. Then had breakfast at Watson's Drug Store before having to leave for a few hours to go work on my house. When I came back at 2:30 I could not believe how crowded it was with spectators - busiest I have ever seen it. Weather was PERFECT, Low 70's and sunny. Lots of nice comments on the 37 as well. Too bad I forgot the camera ......

  8. Great show yesterday.......my favorite year so far.Like Hotroddon said the weather was PERFECT.Lots of great cars turned out for this one and I do have to say I think there were less High-Tech cars there this year.A ton of cool trucks in the mix as well, had a great time. Also, it was cool to see the cover car for the new Hot Rod magazine in front of the Circle City Hot Rods booth.Very cool flathead powered Hot rod.....keep up the great work Jimmy and crew.
