Projects 52-54 Mercury gas tank supplier??

No dice on the search function, soooo, has any one out there found a supplier for 52-54 Mercury fuel tanks??

take a look at tanks inc..ijust put a 56 ford tank in mt 56 lincoln.perfect fit good tank,quick service.

The filler necks differ between Ford and mercury. The way around this is if your fill neck is good, you can have it silver soldered into a replacement Ford tank.

When I checked a couple months back the Ford tanks were out of stock and could not give a date. Let us know if you found something.

Some guys use early Mustang tanks but you have to cut out the floor of your truck...

The reproduction 52-54 Ford tanks do not fit 52-54 Mercurys....besides the filler neck being different they are smaller and the sending unit is not accessable in the Merc trunk floor.

 

that sounds like an easy fix, if you have NO tank.???????
